Delete Your Diwan Account

This page explains how to permanently delete your Diwan account (developer: Diwan HQ) and all data associated with it. You can do this yourself from inside the app or the website, or request it by email.

Delete from the app (iOS & Android)

  1. Open Diwan and go to the Profile tab.
  2. Tap the gear / Settings icon.
  3. Open Account.
  4. Tap Delete My Account and confirm.

Delete from the web

  1. Sign in at diwanhq.com.
  2. Open Settings → Account.
  3. Under Danger Zone, click Delete My Account and confirm.

Can't sign in?

If you've uninstalled the app or can't access your account, email salam@diwanhq.com from the email address registered to your account and ask us to delete it. We will verify and complete the deletion within 30 days.

What gets deleted

Deleting your account permanently removes:

  • Your account and login credentials
  • Your profile (name, username, photo, cover, bio, headline, interests, location)
  • Your posts, comments, cards, and uploaded photos
  • Your events and RSVPs
  • Your direct and group messages and attachments
  • Your follows, follow requests, likes, and reactions
  • Your notification tokens and app settings

This action is permanent and cannot be undone.

Data retention

Your data is deleted immediately from our live systems. Residual copies in encrypted backups are purged within 30 days. We retain a limited record only where required to comply with legal, security, or fraud-prevention obligations, as described in our Privacy Policy.
