Child Safety Standards

Last updated: June 2026

Diwan is a community platform for Muslims. The safety of children is something we take with the utmost seriousness. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including any child sexual abuse material (CSAM). This page explains our standards and the steps we take to keep our community safe, in line with Google Play's child safety standards policy.

1. Our commitment

We do not allow, and we work to prevent and remove, any content or behaviour that:

  • Sexually abuses, exploits, or endangers a child in any form.
  • Contains, shares, or links to child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
  • Attempts to groom, solicit, or sexualise a minor.
  • Puts a child at risk of harm in any other way.

2. Reporting a concern

Anyone can report content or behaviour that may harm a child. You do not need an account to reach us.

  • Inside the app, use the report and block options available on posts, profiles, projects, and messages.
  • You can also email us directly at salam@diwanhq.com with the details so we can act quickly.

3. How we respond

When we become aware of CSAE, we act promptly. Our response includes:

  • Removing the content as soon as it is identified.
  • Suspending or permanently banning the accounts involved.
  • Preserving the relevant information and reporting it to the appropriate authorities, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and any other relevant regional or national bodies.
  • Cooperating with law enforcement as required.

4. Compliance with the law

Diwan complies with all applicable child safety laws in the regions where it operates, and reports child sexual abuse material to the relevant regional and national authorities. We review and update these standards as our platform and the law evolve.

5. Point of contact

Our designated point of contact for child safety matters is reachable at salam@diwanhq.com. This person is able to speak to our child sexual abuse material (CSAM) prevention practices and compliance.
